Speed dating is a quick way to hook up with a person of your choice. Aish HaTorah, a Jewish educational network is credited with introducing the speed dating. Inspired by their success, lots of dating companies have borrowed the concept in the US. Prominent among them are 3 minute dates, fast dates, 8 minute dates.
The speed dating sites online organize events, which facilitates singles in your own town to meet up and have brief tete-a tetes with around 6-7 people in one evening! This is usually organized at restaurant, cafe or a bar in the town. To get the conversation going, people participating are given ice-breaking topics to help them out. After the stipulated time spent with one person, which would typically last for five minutes or so, there is an announcement or chiming of the bell by the organizer to move on. The members then are given forms to fill up. In these forms, participants would also be asked, if they would like to meet the person once more with whom they have had a chat. Then, there is brief intermission after 3-4 meetings. Here, participants gather to have some snacks and this provides opportunity to meet other fellow members in who they could be interested. If there is a mutual consent from both the parties to meeting again, organizers inform the participants about it. Email addresses and telephone numbers are given to both the parties so that they can meet up independently.
Speed dating companies have claimed huge success rates at these events. But there are certain rules to be followed at these meets. During the meeting of prospective couples, neither of them is supposed to ask the other for contact information, such as e-mail ID, phone number or business cards. Questions should not be explicit or offensive. Sometimes, one event might not help you in finding the right partner. Do not panic, take your own time and do not be in haste.

What women want?
- Posted by admin on September 18th, 2007 filed in Relationship
‘What women want’? Well, I am not posing a question. This is name of a movie starring Mel Gibson and Helen Hunt, and it is also the elusive quest which most men embark upon to find. If we narrow down to what women want after a brief passionate encounter, there are some answers.
According to certain surveys, which are by no means exhaustive, cuddling is on the top of the charts. It is a gesture which symbolizes appreciation of them. Let’s face it, women want to be petted and smothered. There are, however, others who switch off and want to be left alone. These type of women need some time to recoup. The other rank of women who love yapping want to be heard! Hearing makes them feels reassured. Then there are others, who ask for more! Who can complain?
Then some girls like to have a drink and sit down to listen to numbers by Richard Marx, Julio Iglesias or even Ricky Martin. The intellectuals might want to read out a passage for you from Germaine Greer, do not yawn unless you want a black eye. Then there are more women who have quite weird needs, lots of which cannot be discussed on a public domain like this. But the bottom line of it all is that ‘girls just wanna have fun’, just like men. So my request is, junk all the ‘truths’ broken by me. Enjoy yourselves and do not worry about the aftermaths. As they say, “que sera sera, whatever will be, will be”. Sleep tight after a nice night and she will follow suit.

The right jewelery adds the sparkle to the ears and neck and complements the bridal gown on the wedding day. Jewelery and accessories complete the bridal ensemble and it is a fact that with the right accessories, the bride and bridesmaids will be looking their very best.
Remember when selecting the jewelery for the bride, the type of bridal dress and the hairstyle will dictate the type of jewelry. The jewelry chosen should also show off your personal sense of style.
To start with, look at your family heirlooms. If you have a fabulous piece of jewelery, wear it. You can ask family and friends to borrow jewelery that you admire. Wearing the jewels that have been in the family for generations not only has a special feel but also adds a sentimental value to your wedding. Vintage jewelry is in right now. Take good care of the borrowed jewelery and do not lose them.
Many bridal salons and department stores offer an array of faux pearl earrings and necklaces. Faux diamonds are wonderful as well, and many of the pieces available combine the costume pearl and diamonds together for a sparky and classic look.
Pearls are in fashion now and are extremely versatile. Choose the strand length that best enhances your gown?s neckline. A pearl collar, 12-13 inches, or a choker, 14-16 inches, are the most classic and versatile necklaces for the bride. It goes with just about any gown neckline. Princess length is 17-19 inches and goes well with high and very low necklines. Other choices are white pearl jewelry with silver plating and gold plated jewelry with ivory pearls depending on the color of the bridal gown.
Beautiful earrings complete the look. Experiment with various earrings to see which look best with your gown?s neckline and the hairstyle you plan to wear on wedding day. Drop pearls are elegant. If your gown is heavily beaded and sparky itself, wear subtle or smallish earrings. Sapphires, emeralds and colored pearls are in fashion, but they need to be subtle.
It looks great if all the bridesmaids wear the same jewelry; but it is OK for them to make their own choices while keeping with the tone of your wedding. A tiara is suitable for your hair.
Just make sure that your entire wedding ensemble works together. Do some trial runs with your gown and hairstyle to see which jewels really complement them and enlist your bridesmaids for their input. Remember proportion is the key element, and jewelery is important, but the best choices are those that do not take center stage.
Having jewelery on the younger members of your wedding party makes them feel extra special. If you have a miniature bride, try to coordinate her jewelery to the bride’s jewelery if it’s possible. Bracelets are another great choice for children’s jewelery accessories. Choose a bracelet that is adjustable so you don’t have to know their wrist size.

I have a sensitive skin. How can I effectively apply cosmetic products on my face?
Sensitive skin is still a mystery with scientists and doctors alike as to why some skin react differently to extreme temperature, sun, fragrance, wind or alcohol. Due to action of these symptoms like violent itching, rashes, excessive dryness, rashes, watery eyes could occur.
Women with blue eyes, fair complexion, light or red hair are more likely to have sensitive skin. Women with this type of skin should use hypoallergenic range of skin care products and minimize the use of chemical based cosmetics.
Sensitive skin ages faster: When skin (sensitive skin) gets irritated too often, it becomes weak and fails to perform its function of being a protective layer. Irritants enter into the skin as and moisture of the skin is lost. Lack of protection from environmental pollution leads to the breakdown of collagen and elastin and invites free radical damage which results in visible wrinkles and skin sag.

Vitamins for hair and hair growth
Vitamin C helps in the absorption of other factors. But the most important vitamin for hair growth is vitamin E. It provides good blood circulation to scalp and helps in increasing the uptake of oxygen. Other common ingredients like the amino acids - L-Cysteine and L-methioine are also useful. Though they are necessary for healthy hair growth, even an unhealthy diet contains these amino acids. So supplementation is not necessary.

Exfoliating the top layer of the skin with help of certain acids is known as “skin peeling”. These types of peels are of two types - chemical and fruit peels. Chemical peels contain acids like trichloroacetic acid and fruit peels contain acid, which is extracted from sugarcane known as glycolic acid.
Peeling action of these peels highly depends on the strength of the acids and sensitivity of the skin on which they work. These peels help skin to get rid of acne scars, fine lines and blemishes.
