Applying cosmetic products on sensitive skin

leave a comment

I have a sensitive skin. How can I effectively apply cosmetic products on my face?

Sensitive skin is still a mystery with scientists and doctors alike as to why some skin react differently to extreme temperature, sun, fragrance, wind or alcohol. Due to action of these symptoms like violent itching, rashes, excessive dryness, rashes, watery eyes could occur.

Women with blue eyes, fair complexion, light or red hair are more likely to have sensitive skin. Women with this type of skin should use hypoallergenic range of skin care products and minimize the use of chemical based cosmetics.

Sensitive skin ages faster: When skin (sensitive skin) gets irritated too often, it becomes weak and fails to perform its function of being a protective layer. Irritants enter into the skin as and moisture of the skin is lost. Lack of protection from environmental pollution leads to the breakdown of collagen and elastin and invites free radical damage which results in visible wrinkles and skin sag.

Nutrients and herbs can affect your hair growth in a positive or negative way. Nutritional diet vitamin and amino acid supplements act upon your hair follicles in different ways. The mineral rich and vitamin supplements can directly stimulate or inhibit the hair growth. They may also act indirectly through other intermediaries. For example, they may cause production of a hormone that can influence the growth of hair follicles. Their influence on hormone activity can influence the activity of hair follicles. Some minerals and vitamins can also influence the work of another vitamin and minerals. For ex, lysine, vitamin B12 and vitamin C are helpful in absorption of iron.

Vitamins for hair and hair growth

Vitamin C helps in the absorption of other factors. But the most important vitamin for hair growth is vitamin E. It provides good blood circulation to scalp and helps in increasing the uptake of oxygen. Other common ingredients like the amino acids – L-Cysteine and L-methioine are also useful. Though they are necessary for healthy hair growth, even an unhealthy diet contains these amino acids. So supplementation is not necessary.

Vitamin supplements’ vitamins

There are many vitamin, mineral and herbal supplements in the market that help promote healthy hair growth. These vitamin supplements are popular by different names like liquid vitamin supplements, daily vitamin supplements, natural vitamin supplements and nutritional vitamin supplements. They are also known by names like mail order vitamin supplements.

With few exceptions like vitamin A and Folic acid, these supplements are found to be not harmful for hair growth. But the actual cause of hair loss has to be understood before deciding on which supplement to use. Apart from it you should also understand how the active ingredients in the supplements interact with your hair follicles.

Vitamin and herbal supplements

It is advisable to depend on the fresh foods or natural vitamins supplements. Typically, there will be more vitamins and minerals in fresh foods.

Hair loss vitamins and minerals

It is a mere waste of your time if you search for vitamin supplements without getting the deficiency detected by a blood test. Get a comprehensive test done to check vitamin and mineral levels. The deficiency of one or more of the following can be a cause of hair loss: serum ferritin, serum iron, and total iron binding capacity – serum zinc. The following deficiencies can directly affect your hair growth: vitamin (H) biotin, Vitamin B6 and Vitamin B12. Biotin and B6 deficiencies are the causes of hair loss in majority. Only if you find such deficiency detected in the tests, you have to use the vitamin supplements. So the more important thing is to get all the natural supplements by taking a balanced diet.
