Tips for steam bathNatural perspiration is induced in this time-tested method of taking bath. Before taking a steam bath lets look at some of the points that must be followed:

  • Wear minimum clothes. Women could wrap themselves in minimum loin clothes. Men can go with underwear.
  • Drink minimum 2 glasses of cold water.
  • Protect your head with cold towel.
  • 10 to 20 minutes of steam bath is enough.
  • Take cold shower immediately after the bath.
  • Don’t lie on floor with face covered. If you go unconscious due to profuse sweating or other reasons, somebody could come for your rescue.
  • Do not go for a steam bath if you are:
    • Feeling weak
    • People suffering from high blood pressure
    • Cardiac patients
    • Pregnant women
  • Wash your face and drink water immediately if you feel giddy or uneasy.
