Natural perspiration is induced in this time-tested method of taking bath. Before taking a steam bath lets look at some of the points that must be followed:
- Wear minimum clothes. Women could wrap themselves in minimum loin clothes. Men can go with underwear.
- Drink minimum 2 glasses of cold water.
- Protect your head with cold towel.
- 10 to 20 minutes of steam bath is enough.
- Take cold shower immediately after the bath.
- Don’t lie on floor with face covered. If you go unconscious due to profuse sweating or other reasons, somebody could come for your rescue.
- Do not go for a steam bath if you are:
- Feeling weak
- People suffering from high blood pressure
- Cardiac patients
- Pregnant women
- Wash your face and drink water immediately if you feel giddy or uneasy.
