Famous celebrity tattoos are much more common than they used to be. In the last 10 years, more celebrities than ever have expressed themselves with all types of body art, including tattoos. Many of the celebrity tattoos are not permanent ones, but are patches that lay on top of the skin, and are not actually tattooed into the skin.
Some famous celebrity tattoos that are permanent are:
- Angelina Jolie - She has to be the most famous of all tattooed celebrities. She has approximately a dozen and continues to have tattoos done on a regular basis. One of her favorite things is to have the names of her lovers tattooed on her, but she's not above lasering it off when the relationship is over. She has a tribal dragon tattoo, and this has caused lot of women to follow in her tattoo-steps.
- Nicole Richie - Nicole has at least nine tattoos, one of them being ballerina slippers in memory of the song "Ballerina Girl" that her father Lionel Richie wrote especially for her.
- 50 Cent - This rapper is maybe the most popular tattooed gent on earth. He has an untold number of tattoos, including tattoo body art that completely covers his back.
- Britney Spears - Another tattoo lover, Britney's tattoos include a small daisy, a butterfly, a fairy and a flower with the Chinese symbol of mystery. She's also a fan of body piercing and has a pierced navel and nipple.
- Eminem - This infamous rapper has tattoos of dog tags around his neck, a big mushroom on his left shoulder, as well as a tattoo of his daughter's name Hallie Jade. He also has a D on the right forearm and a 12 on his left forearm. D 12 is the name of his band.
